Hi there, First of all I would like to welcome you to our website. Here are a few tips for dieting when trying to tone up you're muscles.

Protein: Protein is a great way to help you get ripped while toning up those muscles. A lot of people think that eating to much protein will cause you to get "fat" Don't listen to them, they probably have no clue of what they are talking about.

Protein doesn't have to come strictly from protein shakes. Some good ways to incorporate protein into you're diet is through chicken, fish, eggs, meat, & whey.

Protein also has a relatively high thermic effect. In other words, when you consume protein, your body has to burn additional calories to process it. About 35% of the calories that come from protein can be used for this process. So load up on the protein.

Water: Water can help in many ways for loosing weight & muscle growth. I don't want to go into to much detail but for example: Drinking Cold water causes your body to burn calories from fat to heat up the water to your bodies natural temperature. Make sure you stay well hydrated throughout the day.

Carbs: Carbs are generally classified as fast or slow carbs. Fast carbs are broken down into glucose and absorbed into the bloodstream quickly. They also promote rapid rise in insulin levels. and a quick increase of energy. Slow carbs, on the other hand are assimilated at a slower rate, stimulate a gradual, moderate release of insulin and supply a sustained release of energy. This being said, a majority of your carb intake should come from slow carbs. With fast carbs being consumed during the first meal of the day and post workout.

Slow carbs example: Brown Rice, Broccoli, Oatmeal, Sweet potato

Fast carbs example: Potato, White Rice, Certain Berries.

Meal Frequency: To get rid of the fat quick you want to split your meals into 6 meals a day. Each being 2-3 hours apart. This helps raise your metabolism and boost energy.

Well that's a quick detailed answer on how to diet when getting toned. If you have any questions be sure to post them.

Thanks, - Justin FWG EMPLOYEE
